London (ANTARA News) - Parking in a place so easy thanks to technology that is shown at the Geneva Motor Show.
Steering system which allows the rear wheels maneuver is one of the advantages offered by Pixel, a concept car developed by Tata, an Indian manufacturer.
The technology allows the vehicle using the handbrake turn-style. The technology developed by Torotrak, engineering company based in Leyland, Lancs.
"Tata has the ability to play Pixel-zero," said James Batchelor, commercial director of the company. "That means the car can rotate in place."
"Imagine to the parking area. No need room to stretch, the front axle is spinning like."
Rear wheels can turn independently and if necessary the opposite direction.
Although the new Torotrak system shown on the model of Tata, the company believes the technology if they can be offered on a number of small car makers, especially those that target the urban market.
The company believes that their technology could be installed on a small car in two or three years.
